Is a real person watching my cameras?
Yes. AI filters out the noise, and a trained operator makes the final call on every threat. We use AI as a filter, not a decision-maker.
Is there a limit on monitored events?
No. VDS places no limit on monitored events. Every event gets the same attention, whatever the volume.
What happens when an operator sees a real threat?
Your site protocol determines the response. Options include a verbal deterrent through on-site speakers, an alert to your designated contact and direct coordination with law enforcement.
How are false alarms handled?
Edge thresholds at the camera screen out small objects and brief motion. Our data center removes 99.99% of nuisance alarms such as light flicker and weather. What reaches an operator is worth an operator's attention.
Cameras and equipment
Will my existing cameras work?
In most cases, yes. Our platform is compatible with approximately 90% of cameras that use the ONVIF protocol. We review your equipment before onboarding.
What if my site has no power or internet?
Rapid Deployment Surveillance Systems are solar-powered and cellular-connected. They can be operational within hours of delivery.
Can VDS install cameras?
Yes. VDS can install an upgrade for you, or help you design a new system that you deploy on your own.

Yes. Temporary deployments are a core part of what VDS offers. You are not locked into a long-term contract for a short-term security need.
Can I view my own cameras?
Yes. You have access to live video streams from your property and to recorded footage.
